Diwali or Deepavali is an Indian festival, is celebrated with great enthusiasm! such a big festival is celebrated by Hindus, Jain, Sikhs & Buddhists also. usually, Diwali or Deepavali is celebrated During Kartika month (Hindu lunisolar) in easy language we use to call in Mid October to mid-November. Diwali or Deepavali is the most popular Festival in Hinduism! we celebrate Diwali as a Symbol of "Victory of light over Darkness" in the Regional language we call ("अंधेरे पर प्रकाश की जीत ") knowledge over Ignorance, good over evil. this Diwali festival is based on Lakshmi Mata (the god of Money) also called the Goddess of prosperity! 

Diwali or Deepawali.. we celebrate the day when Lord Rama returns to his homeland Ayodhya with his wife Sita and his brother Lakshman after defeating the king of Srilanka Ravana and serving 14 years of Exile (vanvaas).

  • Diwali 2021 Day 3 : Diwali:- Nov. 4, 2021 (Thursday) 
  • Diwali 2021 Day 4 :Padwa:- Nov.5, 2021 (Friday)
  • Diwali 2021 Day 5: Bhai Duj:- Nov. 6, 2021 (Saturday)


Diwali or Deepavali Date in 2021:

Diwali begins on November 4. The Amavasya tithi begins 06:03on on 4th Nov & ends on 5th Nov 02:44. with the Krishnapaksha Trayodashi (28th day) of Ashwin (7th month) and ends on Shukla Paksha Dwitiya (2nd day) of Kartik (8th month).


Lakshmi pujan Muhurt 2021:

Diwali Lakshmi puja muhurat :  06:08 pm to 08:pm.. and Pradosh Kal begins 05:33 to 08:10pm according to panchang Lakshmi puja should be done during "pradosh" it started after the sunset & lasts for 2hr 24min


Preparation of Lakshmi pujan: 

SO firstly most of the Hindu family people decorate their homes and workplaces with marigold(zendu, Genda Phool) Ashoka, mango leaves. because it considers auspicious! then we hang mango leaves on both sides of the main entrance of our home.(Toran) To bring positive energy to the house, combine Ganga water, turmeric, camphor and sprinkle it near the entrance of the house.

Lakshmi pujan ritual:

first of all, should take a chowrang (small table) during Lakshmi Pujan. Put a red cloth on the small table. Make rangoli(colorful art circle patterns) on the side of the square table. Draw an octagonal lotus or swastika on the square. Take a drop of silver, copper, or clay and mix it with Ganga water. Put coconut on the Kalash and put a mango twig in it. Flowers should be arranged around the Kalash. On the left side of the Kalash, remove the yellow lotus flower for Lakshmi and place an idol of Lakshmi on it. Gold, silver, or simple coins should be placed in front of Goddess Lakshmi. After this, Ganapati should be installed on the right side of the Kalash. Should be installed and incapacitated in front of them. Keep a new book or diary related to trade with Goddess Lakshmi.  After this Lakshmi, Ganapati, and other established deities should be invoked. The deities established by chanting Lakshmi Mantra or 'om Mahalakshmayai Nama:' should be worshiped with Panchamrita. After this incense, a lamp, naivaidya should be offered. Aarti should be done after pooja. After Aarti, pray to Goddess Lakshmi to come home and apologize if anything is wrong.

Some rules to follow during Lakshmi Pujan:

On the day of Lakshmi Pujan, all the doors, windows, and lights of the house should be kept on till at least twelve o'clock at night. Shri Sukta or Mahalakshmi Ashtak as well as other hymns of Goddess Lakshmi should be recited. Don't do financial dealings with anyone while Lakshmi Pujan is going on. Keep the flame intact tonight. Goddess Lakshmi is very fond of Shingada, Battashe, Lahya, Karanji, rice laddu, green laddu, custard apple, rye Shira, pomegranate, saffron sweets and any of these items should be offered.


Dhanteras 2021-- 1st Day Of Diwali

Dhanteras is also known as (dhanatrayodashi) it's the first day of the most awaited Indian festival Diwali. this day is also known as "National Ayurveda Day" announced by the Indian Ayurveda ministry! dhanteras is the worship of lord dhanvantari (god of Ayurveda)on the occasion of Dhanteras, people clean their house, And Dhanvantari worshiped in the evening!

Choti Diwali 2021-- 2nd day of Diwali

Narak Chaturdashi known as A day before Diwali, we celebrate as a Choti Diwali, people celebrate on a smaller scale like a low amount of firecrackers, lightings, decorations. In the evening of Choti Diwali women of the house makes beautiful rangolis in the doorway!

Bhai Dooj 2021--5th day of Diwali

The last day of Diwali celebrates as a Bhaiduj, bhaubij, bhaiyaadooj. It's a brother & sister festival! According to the scriptures, Yamraj, the god of death, is worshiped on Bhaiya Dooj or Yama Dwitiya. On this day, sisters invite their brothers to their homes or go to their homes in the evening to do tilak and feed them. On this day in Brajmandal, sisters take bath in the Yamuna along with their brothers..and give them gifts & sweets
